A song to match your mood...
One might think that as into music as I am that a post like this would be a cinch...too bad that would be an incorrect assumption. I'm even currently sitting in the radio station at my JC doing a DJ shift, and still am not entirely sure what song... Maybe it's because I'm unsure of what exactly my mood is today....sad? No. Elated? No. Apathetic? No. Meh? Yeah, just "meh". Haha. I know that sounds kind of pessimistic (or very pessimistic depending on whether you yourself are either an optimist or a pessimist, but I really don't mean it that way. It's just that this day thus far has been neither "fabulous" nor "deplorable". Simply, meh. Haha.
Instead of a song that matches my mood, here a couple of songs that I haven't been able to get enough of lately:
Forever by Chris Brown
What the Hell by Avril Lavigne
Perfect by P!nk
**Warning! The Video for Perfect is slightly gory and entirely beautiful all at the same time. Also, it is a link to the edited version, so no worries about a slip of the word. :)**
Okay, so if you know me, you know that I've been obsessed with Forever since it came out, but I seriously just can't get enough! Soooo good. Probably because the lyrics represent everything I think love should be.
I've been meaning to post about this next thing for a bit now, and just haven't been able to find the time, so here goes. Lol. A while ago I applied for an Ambassador position at the University I want to go to, and am proud to announce that I'VE BEEN ACCEPTED INTO THE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM!!!!! I'm soooooo incredibly excited! I had been having a hard time actually deciding where to go after the JC this year, and between this amazing opportunity and a whole lot of prayer, I have made my decision. (It also doesn't hurt that there is an INCREDIBLE scholarship tied to the ambassador position.) I just found out today about our first gettogether/training coming up in April, and I am so excited and grateful for to start up this new phase in my life!
Oh...and I've changed my major. Lol. Sorta....Haha. So, medical schools don't really care what your bachelor's degree is in necessarily. They just care that a) you have one, b) you have completed the necessary pre-requisite courses, and c) you prove that you posses scientific knowledge through your performance on the MCAT. I had been going to major in Biochemistry, because the Med-School pre-reqs are also required courses for that degree, so it would make things easier. Well, I've found myself here at the JC taking quite a few Communication courses, which makes it highly plausible to finish a Journalism/Mass Communication degree in a manageable amount of time. And besides, I really like it. :) Besides, med-schools get SO many applicants with a Bachelor's in some "science area" that after a while all the applicants start to blend together. When you're an average chap like myself, you have to have something to make yourself stand out, like a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism/Mass Communication. :) Oh! With a double minor in Music and Chemistry. Lol. So, yeah, there's the Kelton News of the Day! Haha.
Like I've said before, life's a complete journey, you might as well have fun!
